AI Engineering Internship (6 Weeks Program)

About the Internship

We are looking for motivated and curious individuals to join our AI Engineering Internship Program, a structured 6-week journey designed to take participants from Python fundamentals to building production-ready AI applications.

This program focuses on practical learning, combining core software engineering skills with modern AI technologies such as LLMs, APIs, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

What You’ll Learn & Build

Week 1 — Python Foundations for AI

You will build a strong programming foundation:

• Python basics (variables, loops, functions)
• Data structures (lists, dictionaries, JSON)
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Data validation using Pydantic

Hands-on:

• Coding challenges focused on clean code and problem-solving
• Type-safe data parsing and validation

Mini-project:

• Build a CLI data validator that processes and validates JSON input

Week 2 — APIs & Data Pipelines

Learn how real-world systems communicate and handle data:

• REST APIs and FastAPI
• Database fundamentals (SQL, ORMs)
• Async programming basics

Hands-on:

• Build a data pipeline: fetch → clean → store → display

Mini-project:

• Develop a Data Aggregator (e.g., news or pricing dashboard)

Week 3 — Introduction to LLMs

Understand the foundations of modern AI:

• How Large Language Models (LLMs) work
• Prompt engineering basics
• Embeddings and vector databases

Hands-on:

• Experiment with prompts and LLM APIs
• Build semantic search using vector stores

Mini-project:

• Create a text summarizer or Q&A chatbot

Week 4 — Building LLM Applications

Move from experimentation to real products:

• LangChain and LangGraph
• Agent-based architectures (ReAct, tool-calling agents)
• Memory and workflow orchestration

Hands-on:

• Build multi-step AI workflows
• Create stateful AI agents

Mini-project:

• Develop an Agentic Assistant (e.g., travel, legal, or support assistant)

Week 5 — Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

Master one of the most important real-world AI patterns:

• RAG architecture
• Document processing and chunking strategies
• Retrieval and ranking techniques

Hands-on:

• Build full ingestion and retrieval pipelines

Mini-project:

• Create a “Chat with Your Documents” application

Week 6 — Final Project (Production Simulation)

Work in teams to build a real-world AI product.

Project options:

• AI customer support agent
• Internal knowledge assistant
• Code assistant
• AI concierge for real estate or hospitality

Requirements:

• LLM integration
• API usage
• Basic web interface (Flask or FastAPI)
• Logging and error handling
